Pacific Cup:
Ngā Iwi Māori
About Us
Rejoicing at Māori Excellence & Representation in Sport
Metro Māori & Waiariki Mana Whenua are regional groups providing an opportunity for Māori to showcase their skills in the game of Touch.
While Metro Māori serves for members in the wider Tāmaki Makaurau rohe, Waiariki Mana Whenua serves for members in the Waiariki rohe.
Participants from each rohe have the chance to develop their game - either as a player, coach, or manager - while celebrating their Māori heritage & the culture of our Pacific Island whānau.
Our members participate in the annual Pacific Cup Touch event with teams from other Pacific Nations, each with the same whāinga (goal) in mind.

About Pacific Cup Touch
The Pacific Cup Tournament was launched in 2019.
Original Participating Nations were Pacific Māori, Samoa, Niue & Cook Islands. Held over one Sunday, the first tournament saw Under 10 - 14 boys and girls grades, in addition to Open Men and Open Women.
Since it's start, the event has grown to include more nations and days, and caters for a wider range of Māori rōpū from across Te Ika-a-Māui.
